The opportunity:

Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with a luxury historic hotel estate near the Scottish borders. They are looking for a Digital Marketing and Communications Manager to join their team and grow their already popular digital brand.

There is plenty to advertise as the venue boasts historic library bars with roaring fires and the best whiskies on offer in Scotland, from rosette-level fine dining restaurants to classic lounges to enjoy red wine and the view across the beautiful estate.

There is a stunning golf course, 60 self-catering cottages, and full spa and leisure facilities set against the beautiful Scottish countryside.

A background in luxury hotels is beneficial for this opportunity but not required. You will be responsible for driving the digital brand and have a real chance to make a name for yourself in the UK hotel market as this is an award-winning and renowned venue.

A hybrid schedule is available; however, the role is primarily site-based. Fantastic live-in accommodation is available.

The role:

Working closely with the Head of Sales & Marketing at the site and contacts in Germany where the Head Office is based, you will help to lead on creation of the digital strategy to promote the venue to new and existing customers across the world. The clientele ranges from local regulars to VIP guests all over the world and you must be able to communicate with a wide range of guests.

You will help to create and manage the digital marketing strategy, leading and executing email marketing & automated loyalty strategy. Working alongside the web designer to manage the website, including publishing content, new website development, creating and implementing SEO strategies, and optimizing the customer journey. Managing the customer journey on all 3rd party booking platforms and review websites, including OpenTable, Google My Business, TripAdvisor,, and more. Leading the E-Commerce & Sales strategy and all social media communications across all channels.

You will need to be confident in managing yourself and have knowledge of emerging digital trends. Experience managing CRM & CMS systems, including data acquisition and data cleansing. Experience with SEO strategy & Google PPC. Great copywriting skills for the venue.

Possessing a positive personality, driven to achieve high service standards and results. This is a multi-tasking role, in an amazing rural location. You need to be someone used to always keeping their fingers on the pulse of an operation.

The client requires the candidate to possess first-class people soft skills, with an ability to engage with customers and colleagues alike. This role requires 4- or 5-star experience ideally within a hotel environment.
