The opportunity:
Global Talent 2020 are working in conjunction with our expanding global branded client, for a Hotel Manager for their exciting Hotel in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Glasgow city centre. We have been exclusively engaged to find a highly people-focused, and experienced Hotel Manager for this very busy, large property.
The role:
Our client is looking for an astute volume property Hotel Operations Manager or an existing volume property Hotel Manager to come on board to build the culture and renew team harmony. So previous experience of this would be instantly advantageous in the selection process. They are looking for someone who enjoys driving fiscal performance, likes to be guest-facing, and is daily involved across all departments.
The Hotel Manager also sets the guest engagement standards, leads by first example, as part of this brand’s core ethos. They are looking for a Hotel Manager who will embody the culture of the brand and infuse the passion for the product through all aspects of delivery to the property’s customers, and through the team members.
Reporting to a Regional Director of Operations, the Hotel Manager will need to be a standalone type, be keen to drive brand innovation, and able to deliver the company’s and owners’ expectations. The Hotel Manager will also need to be highly commercially savvy and motivate business growth through all of the departments and teams, in this current challenging business climate.
Global Talent 2020’s client, will need the Hotel Manager to also continue to establish the bandwidth of the property in the Scottish marketplace. This means being involved in bringing in key staff appointments, managing the in-house IT/PMS systems, continual implementation of brand ethos, SOP’s, Health & Safety legislative adherences and utilising the marketing tools available through the brand.
The person:
At Global Talent 2020 our esteemed client is looking for a hands-on operator who leads from the front. Who infuses the hotel team with their passion and positivity on a daily basis! The successful candidate must have a branded hotel experience background, with 3 to 4 years’ experience at Operational or Hotel Manager level to date as a minimum.
Ideally, the candidate must be fun, possess an approachable, open personality, be very well organised, have previous involvement in revenue, marketing, social media understanding, Hotel capex experience, recruitment and training of colleagues, SOP implementation, H&S, C&E experience, local and legislative knowledge, and domestic market knowledge, would also be highly desired by our client.
