The role:
Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with our exciting Scottish-based Restaurant, Bars, and Hotels client for their well-established venue in Aberdeen seeking a talented Head Chef to help rebrand and relaunch the kitchen operation. The client is focused on loyalty and is rewarding the successful candidate with a yearly loyalty bonus of 7.5%, 10%, and 15% over 3 years (£11,000+ in total) just for staying with the business. This is on top of TRONC and a 30% bonus paid out based on KPIs.
The person:
Our reputable client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for a creative leader in the kitchen to work on this project and help with menu development, building the team, and successfully launching the concept within the already popular city center venue. The ideal candidate will need to be a self-starter and preferably have experience opening restaurants before. The responsibilities include hiring a team of around five, setting up the kitchen for success, adhering to the company brand standards, and H&S standards, and continuing the high reputation of the venue.
The ideal Head Chef candidate must have had prior experience in producing fresh quality food and had an experience in volume restaurants in the high street space. You will need to be highly approachable with your personality, as you will be interacting with other senior department heads, regional management, and all levels of the site’s diverse teams.
Our client requires an ideal Head Chef, that is keen to train, coach, and mentor their teams, evolve food services, deliver consistent menus and food concepts, and further the reputation of the business as an Employer of choice.
As the Head Chef, you must be proven to be flexible, and highly adaptive in all your approaches to your team, and with the delivery of concepts developed with the company Executive Chef.
As Head Chef, you must also be someone that not only has strong all-round culinary abilities, great presentation skills, possess food innovation skills, but someone that also an effective manager of the kitchen environment, health, and safety, COSHH, RIDDOR, recruitment, training, and mentoring of others, and possess strong cost & budgetary control skill sets of their area.
