Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with our exciting rapidly growing Restaurant and bar client for their well-established and recently refurbished venue in this fantastic all year-round location in recruiting for an ambitious Head Chef to lead and join their exciting Kitchen operations.
This 100-cover intimate restaurant in the heart of Stewarton is just 18 miles from Glasgow city centre and is a favourite amongst locals and tourists alike. With a 20-cover private dining room and outdoor terrace, the venue serves breakfast lunch and dinner in a cosy and relaxed setting.

The person:
Our passionate, ambitious client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for a real leader in the kitchen, someone who will harness the talent of the brigades, utilise the brand-new fantastic kitchen facilities to their advantage, to provide memorable popular food experiences for its customers, and put the location on the map in the West of Scotland, as a noted place to dine.
The ideal Head Chef candidate must have had prior experience in producing fresh quality food, to a minimum 1 rosette culinary level standard, and had experience with volume restaurants in the high street space. You will need to be highly approachable with your personality, as you will be interacting with other senior department heads, regional management, and all levels of the site’s diverse teams.
Our client requires an ideal Head Chef, who is keen to train, coach and mentor their teams, evolve food services, deliver consistent menus and food concepts, and further the reputation of the business as an Employer of choice.
As the Head Chef, you must be proven to be flexible, and highly adaptive in all your approaches to your team, and also with delivery of concepts developed with the company Chef Director, and Regional Head Chef.
As Head Chef, you must also be someone who not only has strong all-round culinary abilities, great presentation skills, possess food innovation skills, but someone that also an effective manager of the kitchen environment, health, and safety, COSHH, RIDDOR, recruitment, training, and mentoring of others, and possess strong cost & budgetary control skill sets of their area.
The role would suit a current Head Chef or be perfect for an experienced Senior Sous looking for their first Head Chef role.
