The opportunity:

Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with one of Scotland’s fastest-growing restaurant groups seeking an IT Assistant to provide 1st and 2nd line support for all services and join their growing team across the Central Belt.

The role will require the person to monitor, detect and resolve any IT service and infrastructure issues. Our client is seeking someone to investigate, diagnose, and action all operational events, alerts, and incidents within agreed timescales while ensuring that all operational security policies, processes, and procedures are maintained and adhered to.

The role:

Global Talent 2020’s client is looking for someone to provide technical support to all users, both remotely and on-site as required. The IT Assistant is responsible for dealing with user queries and ensuring timely resolution using key judgment. The role will also encompass liaison with 3rd party suppliers to escalate production issues while ensuring SLA levels are adhered to.

The person will be required to attend sites to assist in the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of networking systems, PCs, and other IT supplies including software. This will involve the maintenance and service of the Hyper-V server infrastructure.

You will perform programming tasks and basic troubleshooting for the company’s EPOS systems. Additionally, you must adhere to and help implement agreed internal controls of the business.

The person:

Our passionate client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for an IT Assistant with an IT-based qualification or at least 1 year of relevant industry-specific experience. You must have a solid understanding of network protocols, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and experience within the M365 suite. You must be well versed in network switching architectures and configurations. The ideal candidate will be able to work under their own initiative, have excellent interpersonal skills, good organisation skills, and a good work ethic. A valid Driver’s License is essential.
