The opportunity:
Global Talent 2020 are working with our fantastic central London hotel client, who is looking for a passionate operations manager for their busy full-service 4 Star hotel venue. We have been engaged to find a highly people-focused, operational multi-tasker with past previous experience in Rooms Division, Front Office, and F&B head of department roles looking to step up into this new opportunity in the senior Hotel management team.
The role:
Our client is looking for an operations manager candidate to come on board to lead and deliver the daily services, across the property to meet and exceed guest expectancies, and brand standards.
Reporting to General Manager, and Hotel Manager on the property, the operations manager will need to be a driven type, keen to drive innovation, manage all areas of services, live, and breathe the brand values and its integrity. You must be able to strategize and maximize commercial opportunities, especially in the changing times we live in. The operations manager will also need to motivate the diverse teams with their management style, inspire, coach, and mentor, in equal measure their respective teams.
Our client at Global Talent 2020, will need an operations manager that is highly adaptive, as no two days will be alike. Example duties could be to establish quality and service consistency and create memorable services across the venue. Increase guest engagement, and drive revenue. Being involved in helping to guide key staff HODs to maximize their teams’ performances and potential. Ensure the brand ethos and values are being upheld. Manage costs, the P&L, and departmental budgets, and ensure all areas of the business are not at operational risk. That all departments are compliant with health & safety legislative adherence. Help deliver training and staff inductions, whilst, assisting the Hotel Manager and General Manager with all other ad-hoc needs of the business, while utilizing all the brand tools available.
Being a current operational manager or a previous rooms division manager, or similar, is a pre-requisite for the role due to our client’s business model, you must have experience in managing a multi-million budget or managing a multi-million turnover expectancy.
The person:
At Global Talent 2020 our esteemed client is looking for a hands-on manager, who leads from the front, and infuses any team with passion and positivity on a daily basis. The successful candidate must have large hotel experience, an understanding of room revenue, and F&B. The right person needs to have had at least previous 2 to 4 years of experience within a branded Hotel.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate from the outset their engaging personality, excellent people soft skills, and track record of delivery of achievements within similar like-for-like environments. London market experience would also be highly desirable but is not a deal breaker if the candidate has city-center experience elsewhere.
