The opportunity:
Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with one of Edinburgh’s 5-star luxury Hotel brands in looking for an ambitious, Hotel Sales Executive, looking to take their next step with a large Hotel sales opportunity. This is to drive MICE usage, from the local Scottish marketplace at this well-appointed, renowned city centre venue.
The role:
The Sales Executive will primarily lead, support, and oversee the sales functions of MICE for the property, reporting directly to a very supportive Director of Sales, who is looking to nurture and grow this individual’s talents in the role.
As part of this quality-focused, friendly team, you will help them to grow the presence of the brand and property in the local, Scottish, and UK markets primarily with meetings, corporate room nights growth, groups, and also F&B uptake in the soon to be revised fine dining areas, and large C&E suites.
You will oversee in help drive the consistent luxury standard of service, in line, with brand expectations, and brand standards. To ensure you provide sales service that leaves the customer with a positive customer experience and encourages business retentive behaviours.
The Sales Executive will be used to being customer-facing, confident in networking in person, presenting information, able to conduct FAM visits, and very able to communicate concisely, empathically, and approachable at all times. It would also be an advantage if you are conversant with Hotel PMS systems, although full training will be given if necessary.

An energetic individual, looking to step up into a luxury hotels sales department role. A proverbial “self-starter”, with a dogged focused, well-organised mind. Possessing a positive outgoing personality. Driven to achieve consistent high service standards and deliver results. This is a multi-tasking role, in an amazing 5-star hotel environment. The client requires the candidate to possess first-class people soft skills, with engagement with customers, clients, OTA’s, third parties and colleagues alike.
