The role:

Global Talent 2020 are excited to be working with one of Edinburgh’s leading Bar and Restaurant operators at their beautifully appointed venue in the heart of the city. This busy cosmopolitan venue is looking for a passionate Senior Sous Chef for their quality-focused restaurant operations.

The Senior Sous role is part of a large, dedicated Kitchen brigade, producing high-level, fresh, popular food menus across the main restaurant, lounge, and bar areas of this trendy flagship venue.

The role also offers the to work a strictly set 4 days on, 3 days off rota, as our client wants to ensure the best work/life balance for its kitchen brigades.

The person:

Our long-established client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for an existing Senior Sous Chef talent in the kitchen or is open to interest from a proven Sous, looking to step up to Senior Sous level. Someone who will be always readily approachable, have a positive can-do mentality, be communicative, authoritative on culinary practices and food trends, possess sound leadership skills, and exhibit a desire to grow, as the business is ever evolving, and there will be continued career opportunities within the company.

The ideal Senior Sous Chef candidate must have had prior experience working in a volume food, high street restaurant background, specifically with fresh food/ingredients experience. You must be able to demonstrate good all-round culinary technical skills, whilst managing costs, and Food GP%. Whilst also, training and developing others within the team, and leading the brigade in the Head Chefs absence.

All Chef applicants will need to be able to demonstrate their technical abilities at the interview stages.
