The opportunity:

Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with our exciting rapidly growing Restaurant and Bars client for their brand-new flagship and landmark venue in Greenock on the west coast of Scotland in recruiting Sous Chefs to join their exciting kitchen operations. This venue will include a state-of-the-art kitchen being built from scratch and will be the biggest site in the portfolio.

The restaurant will be an addition to a well-established brand within the portfolio, will focus on fresh quality seafood caught locally, and will be extremely popular with locals and tourists alike attracting visitors from the culturally vibrant city of Glasgow. It will have a 200-cover modern and trendy-styled restaurant inside and an exterior dining area that will prove very popular over the summer.

The person:

Our long-established client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for a proven Sous Chef talent in the kitchen. With a classical understanding of modern Scottish, European, and classic French techniques. Someone who will always be readily approachable, possess a positive can-do mentality and personality and be an effective communicator. Whilst, possessing sound leadership skills in others and a kitchen. Creative innovation is a must for the client’s guests’ food experiences. There will also be continued career opportunities to further your career, for the right-minded individual.

The ideal Sous Chef candidate. must have had prior experience of working in a high-end quality restaurant, ideally with a minimum of one, to two rosette experiences to their credit. You must be able to demonstrate good all-around classical culinary technical skills, whilst managing costs, and food GP%. The ability to train and develop others within the team, are also highly desired skills, our client is looking for.

All Chef applicants will need to be able to demonstrate their technical abilities at the interview stage.
