Global Talent 2020 are exclusively working with one of Edinburgh’s premier upmarket restaurant and bar operators in the vibrant capital. They are looking for an Assistant Manager for this prominent flagship venue, to drive, nurture and support the services, with the large cosmopolitan team.
The Assistant Manager will support the General Manager, and other Assistant Managers across the busy bars, and restaurant areas within this beautifully appointed venue. With a large team on hand, to lead across the site, to ensure quality delivery of consistent, guest food and drink experiences. You will be used to being customer facing and leading the volume operations by example. With an eye for details and, commercial opportunities in a challenging, post Covid marketplace. You will manage the staff across front of house, kitchen, and bar areas as required. Sound understanding of stock controls, cellar management, health & safety, training and development and first-class communication skills are pre-requisites for this diverse and fast paced role.

Possessing a positive personality and driven commercially to achieve results. This is a multi-tasking role, in an amazingly fast paced environment, so it will need someone used to keeping their fingers on the pulse of an operation at all times. Quality understanding of all areas of a volume bar and restaurant operations are key skill sets required.
The client requires the candidate to possess first class people soft skills, with “right first time” engagement with customers, and colleagues alike. Is desired. This role would ideally suit a current Assistant Manager applicant, looking to step up into a larger venue, with added diverse outlets, and General Management aspirations.
