Global Talent 2020 are working exclusively with our highstreet renowned retail client in appointing an experienced clothing retail Assistant Store Manager that will head up a new store opening soon in the vibrant capital of Scotland.
The Assistant Store Manager will be coming on board early to be part of the pre-opening process for the store and its development. Therefore, previous experience of this would be highly sought out by our client. The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible initially for liaison with new staff starters, with training and induction, to ensure the vision for the store is kept on track, and its opening on schedule. The Assistant Store Manager will also cover the scaling of recruitment for the store with the Store Manager, in line with brand expectations, and also set up of systems/SOP’s in line with operations in future for the store.
Once the store is open, the Assistant Store Manager will be ensuring with the Store Manager that the store reaches, and exceeds its commercial expectations, through the team, brand strengths delivery, and the levels of engagement with customers to the brand. It is a varied role scope, that requires high levels of multi tasking, and making sound commercial decisions to affect outcomes in a challenging high street environment at present. You will also be one of the designated key holders and out of hours contact, in this 5 out of 7 day role.
Our Client at Global Talent 2020 is looking ideally for an Assistant Store Manager candidate with previous retail fashion store managerial/supervisory leadership experience, with at least 3 yrs in a similar level role of a large quality uni-sex fashion store.You must possess first class soft people skills, and be very commercially driven to achieve targets, and key measurement metrics for your stores performance levels through your team.
You must possess sound financial store understanding, possess excellent planning skills, as well as an understanding of marketing and sales both online and instore. The right candidate must also have a passion for fashion, current high street trends, and believes that their customers should never leave disappointed with service delivery, or products.
An approachable managerial style is paramount, and someone who enjoys daily challenges, multi-tasking, project work as required, and developing something new into something established. Previous fashion experience is a must, or similar luxury goods for this role. City centre/high street experience is highly desired, but other retail experience may be considered, if the candidate demonstrates other core criterias.
