The opportunity:

Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with one of Edinburgh’s premier five-star hotels. Our client is looking for an experienced and passionate Conference and Banqueting Manager for their opulent city centre venue, to drive, nurture and support the C&B team and its services in the delivery of memorable banqueting experiences for its diverse base of customers.

The role:

The Conference and Banqueting Manager will support the F&B Director and Hotel Operations Manager across the luxury banqueting and conference suite areas within the venue. With a dedicated core team on hand, to lead across the areas, to ensure that the quality delivery of guest food and drink experiences are consistently maintained, and where possible guest expectations are exceeded. You will be used to being customer-facing and leading the C&B operations by example. With an eye for detail, whilst being alive to maximise commercial opportunities. You will manage the permanent staff and large casual staffing across the C&B areas as business requires. Sound understanding of all manner of C&B operations, stock controls, cellar management, health & safety, training of staff, and service development, whilst possessing first-class people soft skills, and communication skills are prerequisites for this established reputable luxury business for this important role.

The person:

Our client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for a hands-on approach type leader. A “leader”, with a focused, well-organised mind. Possess a positive personality, driven to achieve high service standards and results at all times. This is a multi-tasking role, in an amazing 5- star hotel environment. You need to be someone used to keeping their fingers on the pulse of an operation at all times. The client requires the candidate to possess first-class people soft skills, with the “right-first-time” engagement with customers, and colleagues alike. This role would also suit a current well-experienced Assistant Conference & Banqueting Manager applicant of a similar sized property, looking to step up into a HOD role.
