The opportunity:

Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with one of Scotland’s award-winning, upmarket Westcoast Restaurant, and Bar operators. They are looking for a passionate F&B-orientated Deputy Manager for this prominent, beautifully positioned venue.

The role:

Global Talent 2020’s client will require the Deputy Manager to support the General Manager and the business in leading the large teams across the site. This well-appointed food and drink concept will require a Deputy Manager candidate with sound hands-on operational experience. You will need to be customer-facing, lead by example, with an eye for detail, and possess sound commercial nous, especially in a changing marketplace.

You will manage the staff across all front/back of the house, kitchen, and bar areas as required. Great understanding of stock controls, cellar management, health & safety, training staff, and development of others. You must also possess first-class communication skills for this diverse and fast-paced role.

The person:

Our client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for a hands-on approach type leader, with a focused, well-organised mind, who possesses a positive attitude and is driven commercially.

This is a multi-tasking, challenging role, in an amazingly fast-paced environment, so it will need someone used to keep their fingers on the pulse of an operation at all times. Quality understanding of all areas of a volume bar and restaurant operations are key skill sets required by our client for this opportunity.

Our client requires the ideal Deputy Manager candidate to possess first-class people skills, with “right-first-time” engagement with customers, and colleagues alike. A good understanding of a P&L and costs is also desired, and this role would ideally suit a current Assistant Manager applicant, looking to step up into a larger venue, with added leadership responsibilities.
