Global Talent 2020 are working with a FMCG market leader in the central belt, in looking for a new Shift Packaging Manager following a restructuring under the recent world circumstances. The focus of the role is to ensure that production volumes, targets are met and accounted for. The Shift Packaging Manager will be part of a team of similar managerial level and the end goal of the role is to ensure 100% end user satisfaction.
Our Global Talent 2020 client is looking for an experienced Shift Packaging Manager with a minimum of 3 years experience at this level, and able to lead a varied team on a given shift pattern basis. As part of the role it is expected that in carrying out your core duties, that you monitor cost implications, forecast effectively on quantities, deadlines of availability and quality levels of the packaging department. Where appropriate making innovative decisions to make productivity improvements along the way.
This fast moving role will report to the overall Packaging Manager for the site, and will work in unison with other Shift Managers, and the teams to ensure that all the collective sites needs and end objectives are met.The role will also entail planing of shift rotas, managing varied teams of people, planning of production, and analysis of reports against actual productivity levels.
An outgoing nature and positivity is also important to our client, with a “can do” mentality. The position within the company will allow room for further growth with career prospects. They require a dedicated professional with flexibility to do shifts, working on a four on, four off rota scheme, with the shifts being 12 hours per shift worked.
The ideal candidate Global Talent 2020 client is looking for is someone with previous white goods packing operational experience, and someone with drive to make improvements to increase efficiencies, whilst not impacting on the end users satisfaction. There is some need for IT understanding, to analyse data, internal reports and business operations information, this is generally MS Office based, so experience of this would be highly advantageous, or utilising portable software devices. Use of a similar system would also be considered by our client, if they had the other criterias mentioned. You may also be required to carry out recruitment in future, as well as deliver on-going training with the team where required, again experience of this would be an advantage.
