The opportunity:

Global Talent 2020’s award winning Restaurant Group client, based in central Edinburgh are looking for a full-time Sales & Events Manager professional to join their established organisation as their “in-house” dedicated sales business developer, for their quality focused event and award-winning food outlet businesses.

Our client is well renowned in the marketplace for 20 years, an ethical, fresh, quality-focused company that specialises in high-end, sustainable sourced dining experiences. Championing the best ingredients from the region. The role will require the person to “hit the ground running” from the outset, with creative business sales development to drive footfall to the different restaurant groups venues, and also the established outside events businesses. This will be across both corporate and leisure sector clientele.

The role:

Global Talent 2020’s client is looking for a creative, self-sufficient individual, Sales & Events Manager with their finger “on the pulse” within the local, and wider UK markets. Ideally possesses a track record of sales achievements with growing restaurant customer bookings, whilst also developing both larger corporate, and leisure events sales bookings.

The person will work primarily on their own with Sales BDM but will also oversee two Events Co-ordinators with the delivery of the Events brought in by their efforts. The role will also encompass liaison between other HOD’s of the business, the Directors of the business, and be integral in providing targeted engagement through social channels, media, and PR management duties with the Marketing team for the business.

Experience essential in:

  • Managing and negotiating client relationships, both with corporate and leisure sectors.
  • Developing new business sales opportunities and retaining existing clientele.
  • Growth track record of like-for-like sales success in an F&B-focused business.
  • Create weekly/ monthly reports that analyse insights and analytics to help evolve the business.
  • Operational management understanding of the delivery of large F&B Events and Restaurant understanding.
  • Be IT literate and a clear communicator.
  • Some Marketing, PR, social media and press experience.

The person:

Global Talent 2020’s client is looking for a trustworthy, established sales and events manager who is a self-motivated candidate. Someone who is highly adaptive, flexible, creative, passionate, and driven with what they do, as well as respectful of our client’s brand’s integrity. You must ideally possess an outgoing, engaging personality, tenacity, and an exacting eye for detail.

Our client seeks an excellent sales ambassador for their business, someone comfortable presenting ideas, has excellent needs assessment skills, whilst being a strong negotiator in client facing situations. The right Sales & Events Manager candidate also needs to except honest feedback, and also be open to other’s input besides their own, because they will be working collaboratively at times for the business’s interests.

The benefits:

An excellent base salary, and tronc share scheme are available for the right applicant. Great benefits, mainly Monday to Friday, office hours, 40 hours a week, with some flexibility required to work occasionally evening and weekends for certain events, or clients.
