The opportunity:

Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with one of Scotland’s award-winning, fastest-growing restaurant and bar operators. They are looking for a driven F&B orientated Regional Support General Manager for their restaurant and bars operations on the West coast of Scotland. The Regional Support General Manager will cover their rapidly expanding company across their quality-focused venues, covering new openings, GM colleagues’ holidays or sickness, buddying new starters, while operational support with Training, new systems, service or company standards.

The role:

Global Talent 2020’s client will require the Regional Support General Manager to cover the business in leading the large diverse team across the West Coast estate. You will be responsible for all front and back-of-house personnel and operations. This well-appointed food and drink business will require a proven volume F&B-led General Manager candidate with sound hands-on operational experience with wet/dry services. You will need to be very customer-facing, empowering your team, and creating a memorable customer journey. You must possess an eye for detail, possess sound commercial nous, especially with a P&L, cost, rota, and cellar management. Stock ordering processes and expenditure controls are also desired skills.

You will manage the staff across all areas as required through your large diverse teams, which will vary from venue to venue, and will be situationally based. Great understanding of, health &safety, training, the development of others, as well as possessing first-class communication skills are pre-requisites for this diverse and fast-paced role with our ambitiously growing client.

The person:

Our client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for a positive approach type leader, with a focused, well-organised mind. Who possesses an approachable manner, is driven commercially, and has a customer journey focus.

This is a multi-tasking, challenging role, in amazingly presented environments, so it will need someone used to leading by example in an operation at all times. Quality understanding of all areas of a volume bar and restaurant operations are key skill sets required by Global Talents 2020 client for this opportunity.

Our client requires the Regional Support General Manager to possess quality people engagement skills, with a “right first time” approach with customers, and colleagues alike.. This role would ideally suit a current, proven General Manager applicant, looking to step up into a larger varied role, with added key responsibilities.
