The role:
Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with our rapidly growing Restaurant and Bars client for their West Coast venue in this fantastic all-year-round location in recruiting for an enthusiastic Sous Chef to assist in leading an exciting Kitchen operation. The Sous chef of this cool, 100-seater main restaurant, plus events spaces in the contemporary site, will deliver popular fresh menus, assist in leading the brigade, in this fast-growing, successful, award-winning business.
The person:
Our ambitiously growing client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for a future kitchen leader. Someone who will help harness the talent of the diverse brigade, utilise the fantastic kitchen facilities and provide memorable popular food experiences for its loyal customer base.
Ideally, the Sous Chef candidate must have had prior experience of producing fresh quality food, to a minimum 1 rosette culinary level standard. Possess also experience in volume restaurants or similar. You will need to be highly approachable as you will be interacting with other senior department heads and with all levels of the wider business’s teams. You will be delivering popular fresh menu classics, and themed dishes in conjunction with the restaurant’s fantastic design concept.
Our client requires potentially a Junior Sous Chef, looking to step up into a Sous Chef role, someone that is keen to train, coach, and mentor others in their team. While assisting in evolving the sites food services, food consistency, standards and helping deliver consistent food experiences for the customers. Furthering the award-winning reputation of the parent business as an Employer of choice on the West coast of Scotland.
As the Sous Chef, you must also be someone who not only has strong all-around culinary abilities, but someone that also is an effective manager of the kitchen environment. Experience of ordering processes, stock control measures, health and safety legislative requirements, COSHH, RIDDOR, and training and mentoring of other team members.
