The opportunity:
Global Talent 2020 proudly works with one of Scotland’s best award-winning, upmarket Restaurant and Bar operators. They are looking for a passionate F&B-orientated Assistant Manager for their brand-new bar and restaurant venue, which is opening in Musselburgh.
The role:
Global Talent 2020’s client will require the Assistant Manager to support the senior Management team, in leading the diverse teams across the site. This well-appointed food and drink concept will require an Assistant Manager candidate with proven hands-on restaurant operational experience. You will need to be comfortable in being very customer-facing, and lead by example. Possesses an eye for detail, good commercial nous, comfortable being on the operational floor, and possess excellent people soft skills.
You will manage the staff across all front/back of house restaurant and bar areas as required when on shift. Some clear understanding of stock controls, cellar management, health &safety, being able to train and coach the development of others, understanding an Epos system, as well possessing first-class communication skills are prerequisites for this exciting fast fast-paced new role.
The person:
Our client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for a hands-on approach type person, with an engaging personality while being a focused, well-organised supervisor of a team. A positive attitude and a driven attitude are also highly desired. Commercially, the right candidate must have good upselling skills, and can work with budgets, and costs, and feel comfortable with F&B sales targets.
This is a multi-tasking, busy role, in an amazingly presented brand new venue. Quality service understanding of all areas of a volume bar and restaurant operation are also desired skill sets required by Global Talents 2020 clients.
Our client requires the ideal Assistant Manager with “right-first-time” engagement with customers, and colleagues alike. This role would ideally suit a current Assistant Manager applicant, looking to step up into a larger busier venue, with added managerial responsibilities.
