The opportunity:
Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with one of Scotland’s award-winning, fastest-growing restaurant and bar operators. They are looking for a driven F&B-orientated restaurant and bar Deputy Manager to join their rapidly expanding company at this brand-new quality-focused opening in the bustling market town of Musselburgh. The venue has new curb appeal with its location and a big draw for its users. Great all-year-round trade opportunities at this completely new venue opening.
The role:
Global Talent 2020’s client will require the Deputy Manager to support the GM and the business in leading the large diverse team across the site. You will be covering responsibilities for all front and back-of-house personnel and service operations. This brand-new well-appointed food and drink concept will require a proven volume F&B-led Deputy Manager candidate with previous operational experience with volume wet/dry services.
You will need to be used to being very customer-facing, and ably assist the GM in managing the teams and help create a consistent memorable customer journey. Ensuring company standards are being met, and possessing an eye for detail, with excellent people soft skills. While also showing understanding with your commercial nous and upselling abilities. An understanding of the management of stock ordering processes, and budgetary and cost expenditure controls, are also highly desired by our quality-focused client.
You will assist in the management of the staff across all areas as required through your supportive team of HOD’s and Supervisory staff. Great understanding of, health &safety, training, and development of others, are prerequisites for this diverse and fast-paced role with our ambitiously growing client.

This is a multi-tasking, fast-paced role, in an amazingly presented new environment. Quality understanding of all areas of a volume bar and restaurant operations are key skill sets required by Global Talents 2020 clients for this amazing career growth opportunity.
Our client requires the ideal candidate to possess great soft people skills, with a “right-first-time” approach with customers, and colleagues alike. This role would ideally suit a current Deputy Manager applicant, or highly experienced Assistant Manager, looking to step up into a larger venue, with added diverse managerial responsibilities.
