The opportunity:

Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with our Independent Restaurant and Bars client for their stunning unique venue in Edinburgh on the east coast of Scotland in recruiting a Sous Chef to join their kitchen operations.

The venue is one of a kind in Scotland and offers a celebration of European food and drink, with two kitchens delivering a very high standard of European cuisine mixed with locally sourced Scottish favorites. The ideal candidate would benefit from having some conference and events experience as the venue caters for parties, afternoon teas, and small events.

The person:

Our long-established client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for a proven Sous Chef talent in the kitchen. With a classical understanding of modern Scottish, European, and classic French techniques. Someone who will always be readily approachable, possess a positive can-do mentality and personality and be an effective communicator. Whilst, possessing sound leadership skills in others and a kitchen. Creative innovation is a must for the client’s guests’ food experiences. There will also be continued career opportunities to further your career, for the right-minded individual.

The ideal Sous Chef candidate. must have had prior experience of working in a high-end quality restaurant, ideally with a minimum of one, to two rosette experiences to their credit. You must be able to demonstrate good all-round classical culinary technical skills, whilst managing costs, food GP%. The ability to train and develop others within the team, are also highly desired skills, our client is looking for.

All Chef applicants will need to be able to demonstrate their technical abilities at the interview stage.
