We have been engaged to find a highly people-focused, operational multi-tasker with past previous experience in Guest Service/ Front Office Division, Events, and F&B head of department roles looking to step up into this new opportunity to be a senior managerial role.

The role:

Our client is looking for an Operations Manager candidate to come on board to lead and deliver the daily services, across the venue, to meet, and exceed guest expectancies, and operational hallmark standards.

Reporting to the General Manager on the property, the Operations Manager will need to be a driven individual, keen to evolve innovation of the services, the guest journey experience, and live and breathe the company values, and its quality ethos. You must be able to maximize commercial opportunities, especially with the Events side of the operations. The Operations Manager will also need to inspire the 120 team members, to coach, and mentor in equal measure with their leadership style.

Example duties could be:

  • To establish service quality consistency, creating memorable services across the venue.
  • Increase guest engagement, and drive revenue opportunities.
  • Being involved in helping to guide key HODs to maximize their teams’ performances and potential.
  • Manage costs, oversee the P&L, and departmental budgets, and ensure all areas of the business are not at operational risk.
  • All departments are compliant with health & safety legislative adherence.
  • Help deliver training and staff inductions.

You must have experience in managing a multi-million operation or managing a quality, multi-million turnover departmental expectancy.

The person:

At Global Talent 2020 our esteemed client is looking for a hands-on manager, who leads from the front and infuses teams with their passion, and positivity daily. The successful candidate must have large hotel experience, and an understanding of room revenue, events, and F&B. The right person needs to have had at least 2 to 4 years of experience within a luxury 4/5-star Hotel.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate from the outset their engaging personality, excellent people soft skills, and track record of delivery of achievements within similar like-for-like environments. London market experience would also be highly desirable but is not a deal breaker if the candidate has city center experience elsewhere.

The benefit:

Our client is offering a highly competitive salary package with an attractive bonus scheme available. You will be working for an ambitiously growing, award-winning business, and positive culture. There is also huge potential for future career path growth for the successful applicant, with an additional venue coming on stream in 2025. Working hours are mainly Monday to Friday, with flexibility that some Weekends may require the Operations Manager to present due to particular guests on site.
